Power washing is an incredibly efficient way to clean things that would otherwise take hours of scrubbing and elbow grease. In fact, power washing is so quick and satisfying to watch that there are several videos online just of power washing! It might start to seem that just about anything can be instantly beautified with power washing, but there are a few dos and don’ts when it comes to the cool cleaning abilities of power washing.

Power Washing

Power wash hard surfaces. When it comes to power washing, the harder the surface, the better! Surfaces like concrete, brick walkways, patios are ideal for power washing because they get dirty quickly, but also clean beautifully. Other surfaces that can be power washed include solid surfaces like tile, vinyl siding, fencing, wood decks, outdoor furniture, or even a dingy fishing boat!

Power wash softer surfaces! While this might seem obvious, there are many materials that we don’t think of as soft, but still cannot withstand the pressure of a power washer. Items such as wood siding should not be power washed since the pressurized water can actually force its way through the cracks in the siding. Additionally, painted surfaces should not be pressure washed since the pressure can quite literally peel the paint right off!

When it comes to power washing, you should consult with a professional before taking on the job yourself. If you really want the job done correctly, you should always hire a professional to get professional results.
